Torchlight Procession held in Tallinn
Place: Tallinn, Estonia
Estonian nationalists gathered in Tallinn for the annual torchlight march on February 24th, Independence Day of Estonia. The march honors nationalism and the people who have fallen for the nation of Estonia. It is organized by the youth wing of the nationalist EKRE party (Eesti Konservatiivne Rahvaerakond - Conservative People's Party Of Estonia). The youth wing is known as Sinine Äratus (The Blue Awakening). The torchlight procession had started at the Freedom Square in the centre of Tallin and, after walking through the streets of old historical city of Estonian capital, returned back to the foot of monument in honour of victory in the Liberation War of 1918-1920, located next to the Freedom Square. Foreign guests – representatives of youth nationalist movements from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden, had also attended the torchlight procession.
