Event description

A torchlight procession took place in the center of the Lithuanian capital in honor of the events of January 13, 1991. The event was attended by several hundred people. 29 years ago, 13 Lithuanians were killed in a confrontation between the Soviet military and the inhabitants of Lithuania. A year ago, a trial was held during which prison officers were sentenced to Soviet officers who participated in the suppression of the civil uprising.
